In a country that conflates aging with a both literal and metaphorical fading of importance, authenticity in expression represents an iridescent soul.

The limited representation of older people as beacons of style is a regrettable erasure of the creatives who came before us, and, eventually, the ones who will come after. I cannot help but want to reach my hand out to their smiling faces as if they are my own.

Style does not stagnate to a hard stop in your late twenties; instead, it forever blossoms until our eventual return to the ground, from which the next generation of curling petals will sprout, each uniquely special.
